The team is getting very excited about our Ashes drinks event on Thursday… we’re taking 20 or so leading journalists to a Soho pub to watch the first day of the 5th Test. Let’s hope England can post a good score on the first day!

Rich Sutcliffe, Digital Editor at Media Week, has just been announced as the new Editor of Brand Republic. Rich will start his new role on 1st September, succeeding Gordon MacMillan, who has edited Brand Republic since its launch in 2001. Gordon will take a new role in Haymarket Brand Media as Social Media and International Editor.

Natalie Kenway, Senior Staff Writer at Fund Strategy, has now begun maternity leave and will be back in June 2010. In Natalie’s absence, her maternity cover will be Muriel Oatham.
